Information about your CRS results for Canada Express Entry
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) uses Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) criteria to determine the eligibility of candidates applying to enter Canada under the Express Entry Stream. The Canada Express Entry CRS Results (CRS) system helps the Canadian government, through the Department of Immigration, “administer applications for permanent residency under these federal economic immigration programs.”
Express Entry draws are conducted bi-weekly (sometimes monthly) based on certain CRS section marks set by IRCC. The Express Entry Program consists of the following subcategories:
· Federal skilled worker program
· Federal program for skilled trades and
· Canadian experience class

The Canadian Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) group criteria into 4 main subgroups:-
· Core/Human Factors
· Factors for spouse/life partner
· Factors of skills transferability and
Additional factors (based on connection/connections to Canada)
Ideally, the groups of factors listed above are determined by the characteristics of future immigrants in the following areas:
Age.
· Knowledge of English and/or French
· Teaching & Education
· Work experience
· Presence/absence of a valid job offer and
· The applicant’s perceived adaptability to life in Canada.
Maximum CRS score for Express Entry & Cut-Off marks
Core/human and spouse/common law factors Regardless of a lead applicant’s country of origin, the maximum possible score in the Core/Human Capital Factors group for a single applicant is 500. It is 460 if the applicant is married or has a civil partner who is not a permanent resident or citizen of Canada. With a spouse or partner, the maximum score is 500.

Skill transferability factors
Skills transferability factors combine the candidate’s education, work experience (abroad or within Canada) and official language proficiency based on standardized language test scores. It will also be considered whether the lead applicant has a Canadian provincial, federal agency or Canadian territory qualification certificate. The maximum possible score in this subcategory is 100.
Additional points
The following additional points are awarded based on a candidate’s situation. The composition of the CRS results for express entry into Canada depends on whether or not a candidate meets the factors considered in the calculation of the CRS results.
· Brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada 15 Scored NCLC 7 or higher in all four French skills and CLB 4 or lower in English (or did not take an English test) 25
· Scored NCLC 7 or higher for all four French proficiency levels and CLB 5 or higher for all four English proficiency levels 50
· Post-secondary education in Canada – Proof of one or two years 15
· Post-secondary education in Canada – Proof of three years or more 30
· Arranged Employment – NOC 00 200
· Agreed Employment – any other NOC 0, A or B. 50
· Provincial or Territorial Nomination 600

The Government of Canada conducts express entry draws every two weeks, sometimes monthly. The government agency responsible for express entry is the IRCC. The IRCC stands for Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada. This body was called the CIC until 2015. There is no difference between the two other than the name. The CIC is now called IRCC. If your score meets the minimum CRS score for the Invitational Round that your Express Entry Profile is eligible for, you will be selected.
