Locksmith – steel construction in Canada (m/f/d)
For one of the largest steel construction companies in Canada, in the Edmonton (Alberta) area, we are looking for experienced locksmiths and welders (m/f/d).
You will be part of an experienced team in the greater Edmonton area in a large manufacturing facility. Your future employer will support you in applying for a Canadian residence and work permit.
This comes up to you:
- Execution of locksmith and welding work in steel construction
- Assembling and fitting plates and profiles into structures
- Assembly of new or additions to existing steel structures
- Set up and operate heavy metalworking machinery
- Working with drills, cutting torches, scissors, grinders, saws
- Reading and working from drawings
- Transportation of raw materials and finished metal products (using hoists or other equipment)
Working the night shift
Note: The employer is interested in long-term cooperation. This activity can qualify you and your family for a permanent work and residence permit with a high probability.
What do you bring with you:
Verifiable completed vocational training in a metalworking profession (e.g. as metal worker, construction engineer, construction mechanic, welder, fitter)
3-5 years of professional experience as a fitter / welder in steel construction

Mastery of common welding processes
Other requirements
- Ability to work in a team and resilience (working night shifts)
- No entry in the police clearance certificate
- Knowledge of the English language (can be deepened before applying for the work permit)
- Driver’s license an advantage
