PURPOSE:
Manage strategic development of full product marketing cycles for all vehicle lines, as well as manage new vehicle pricing activity and implementation.

DUTIES:
1) Develop vehicle line marketing strategy plans for assigned vehicles throughout the product life-cycle.
2) Define marketing communications objectives for product lines by making detailed and continuous analysis of MMSCAN’s product offerings as compared to the competition.

3) Conduct research and develop analysis in support of product planning and strategy. Research and analysis can included but not limited to primary market research, secondary market research, customer satisfaction, segment opportunities, pricing, features/content, competitive analysis, product cycle plan, project management master product schedule, future technologies, economics, production capacity and related fundamental of short-term and/or long-term planning.

4) Prepare product concept and development documents pertaining to overall product strategy, features/content, segment analysis, lifecycle analysis, competitive product analysis and pricing analysis.

5) Prepare schedules and deliverables to time, including product concept and development papers.


6) Participate in preparing mid- and long-range product strategy.


7) Produce documentation and reports regarding specifications of assigned models. Interface with design, engineering and marketing staff from global Mitsubishi Motors affiliates to provide accurate product data for all end users.


8) Review internal and external communication material for product accuracy and compliance with product claims.


9) Present company information and strategies for the brand to internal and external audiences including senior management team.


10) Direct all new vehicle pricing activity.


11) Develop pricing strategies and actions in support of product strategies and corporate business goals. Oversee analysis and development of pricing strategies for existing and future products.


12) Develop and recommend market competitive pricing plans for each platform model, analyzing product content vs. competition.


13) Prepare competitive vehicle price comparisons using the product content method of value analysis (A:A).


14) Provide pricing input to P & L analysis for each platform vehicle and co-ordinate with Product Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Finance.


15) Negotiate new product and new model year market competitive pricing with Manufacturer.


16) Contribute pricing strategy and input to ongoing MMSCAN Business Planning and Budgeting processes.


17) Co-ordinate final platform pricing implementation with pricing analyst for Monroney completion, dealer ordering, vehicle price confirmation system and dealer pricing guides.


18) Manage development and publication of Vehicle pricing guides.


19) Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

1) Six + years progressive automobile manufacturer sales/marketing/product planning/financial planning
2) Strong PC skills including Excel and use of laptops.
3) BB/BA in Marketing/Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED:

1) MA/MS/MBA or other appropriate advanced degree.

SPECIAL:

1) Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a company-approved driving record.
