CAD/GIS Technician
Responsibilities:
– Data conversion/drafting
– Database set-up and management (mainly MS Access)
– Ongoing maintenance

Required Skills:
– Solid understanding of CAD principles
– Proficiency in AutoCAD Map 2002+, topology queries, block/attribute manipulation, plotting, 3D
– MS Office – Strong Excel skills
– Creative and effective problem solver
– Ability to follow processes & implement standards
– Strong inter-personal, written and oral communication skills
– Must be willing to perform routine work
– Initiative and self motivation a must
Beneficial Skills:
– Knowledge of GIS principles
– MS Access, SQL Server, ArcGIS, MapInfo
– AutoCAD Customization (VBA)
– Understanding of Electrical distribution system (Hydro)
– Field Data collection (working knowledge of GPS an asset)

Experience:
