Your tasks:

  • Management and development of the team for occupational safety in the Leverkusen plant with 4-5 employees
  • Takeover of the function “senior specialist for occupational safety according to ASiG”
  • Further development of the operational safety culture
  • Developing and monitoring security programs, policies and procedures
  • Organization and implementation of ASA meetings and risk assessments
  • Development, organization and implementation of training / instruction for internal / external stakeholders
  • Coordination of the revision of the fire protection concept and the explosion protection document
  • Coordination and creation of work and operating instructions
  • Advice for specialists and managers in the areas of occupational safety and fire protection
  • Participation in internal / external audits (9001, 14000, 45000, etc.)
  • Organization and implementation of investigations such as REASON, 5W method
  • Participation in new construction, conversion, IT and strategy projects
  • Communication with internal / external stakeholders (internal departments at the Leverkusen site, safety officers from the international KRONOS environment, global safety, authorities, BG, etc.)
  • Reporting of events, tracking of deadlines according to BetrSichV and creation of key figures
  • Close cooperation with the process safety department

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed technical or scientific studies (Dipl. Ing., Master, Bachelor)
  • Completed training as a specialist for occupational safety required
  • Several years of experience as a manager in the operational area of ​​occupational safety, desirable in the chemical industry
  • Knowledge in the field of dangerous goods, waste, water and immission protection as well as in incident operation desirable
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant legal areas of occupational safety (ASiG, ArbStättV, ArbSchG, BetrSichV, TRBS, TRGS, standards, etc.), ideally in the chemical industry
  • Safe handling of IT programs (MS Office, SAP, COMOS, SAM, EHS software, etc.)
  • Communication in German and English
  • Team player with a confident demeanor and a high level of security awareness in an operational environment
